Anatomy and Physiology
The main organs/parts of the muscular system are the heart, stomach, biceps, triceps, quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteus maximus.
Tendons attatche skeletal muscle to bone
Three Types of Muscle:
Cardiac Muscle helps pump blood through heart (heart)
Skeletal Muscle allows movement and protects inner organs (biceps, triceps)
Smooth Muscle helps digest food throughout body (stomach, liver, small/large intestine)
Involuntary muscles are uncontrolled muscle movement and voluntary muscles are controlled muscle movement
Flexor muscles (bicep) bend part of the bodywhile extensor muscles (tricep) straighten part of the body.
